Elsewhere on the web, I also have experience in social media publishing (aside from my journalism) as Head of Marketing for Trent TV.
Here I handled the online station presence – publishing promoting content on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram. I employed SEO tactics and ensured all of our content video output had thumbnails and share cards made in Photoshop and InDesign.
This role also involved hosting competitions on our social media to encourage growth, and sourcing sponsors to fund the station. In return for their sponsorship, we produced B2B videos for them.
I also made the decision to move our content from YouTube to Facebook.
My efforts were recognised with a Runner-up for Best Marketing in the 2018 National Student Television Awards.
